Killswitch on Android

Image representing Android as depicted in Crun...Google have admitted there is a killswitch on Android so they can remotely disable an app on any phone if they wish to.

The revelation is made in the Android marketplace terms and conditions and says that:

"Google may discover a product that violates the developer distribution agreement ... in such an instance, Google retains the right to remotely remove those applications from your device at its sole discretion."

The real question is, to what extent will that killswitch work? Will it be effective only for apps available through Android Marketplace or to any apps, even those coming from third part apps platforms like Handango?

we'll follow this very closely!
